Shakespeare Bridge Centennial Parade and Block Party

FreeSaturday, October 10, 2026 · 12:00 PM to 4:00 PMdays away8

The Shakespeare Bridge in Franklin Hills turns 100, and the Franklin Hills Residents Association is celebrating with a neighborhood parade and a free block party.

The parade steps off at noon from Tracy Street and Saint George Street, heads up the hill onto Franklin Avenue, crosses the Shakespeare Bridge, then continues down Myra Avenue and Holly Knoll Drive to Monon Street. Expect vintage cars, the Marshall High Jazz Band, the Silverlake Conservatory of Music Highsteppers, students and families from neighborhood schools, the Los Feliz library and plenty of neighborhood dogs. Parade participants line up at 11 a.m.

From 1 to 4 p.m. the block party fills the Monon Street cul-de-sac beneath the bridge with live music, food and family activities. Free and open to everyone.
